To celebrate the 2024 Stitchdown Bootcamp, we've collaborated with Stridewise to introduce "The Feral Swine"—a service boot featuring a custom wild boar leather exclusively crafted by Gallun Leather.
PROCESSING BOAR LEATHER:
Boar leather is produced from wild American boar hides, which are seasonally harvested to control and minimize their disruption of farmland. Due to the boar's rugged lifestyle, the hides are coarser, porous, and particularly challenging to process. One of the biggest difficulties is dehairing, which is more intensive than for other leathers due to the deep-set hair roots. This, coupled with the naturally greasy hides, requires a thorough degreasing process followed by a custom softening agent.
A NEW TANNAGE - COGNAC JABARI BOAR:
To tackle these challenges, Gallun has developed a new trial tannage called Jabari Boar. Sourced directly from the southeastern U.S., these boar hides undergo a rigorous process to create a softer leather that is ideal for boots. This tannage offers enhanced temper, consistent weight, and balanced oil content.

The GMTO period ends on 10/25/24 (or earlier if all leather is fully allocated), with estimated delivery in December 2024/January 2025. The total cost is $379.98 USD, with final payment invoiced before delivery.
Pre-orders are not eligible for promotions. Size exchanges will be available. You can exchange your boots for a different size or return them for store credit within 7 days of receiving your order.
SIZING GUIDANCE:
The Morris last runs slightly long. Please size down one half size from your brannock size. If your Brannock measurement corresponds to a US size 11.5, we recommend selecting a size 11, for the Morris last.
In the event that your Brannock measurement falls between sizes, we advise sizing up to the nearest whole size for the best fit.
